Arranging to have your boiler repaired or replaced at the last minute can be difficult – and expensive. But if you have a landlord care plan in place, you’ll know that, should that call ever come, you shouldn’t need to stress out or be hit with a hefty bill. 
Landlord care plans are a service you pay for, usually monthly, to repair or service the boiler in a property you rent out. 
A care plan is agreed on an annual basis for the level of repair and service provision required . If the boiler in your tenant’s property breaks down, the care plan provider will send out a Gas safe registered engineer to diagnose and repair where possible if included in your chosen plan or advise if a replacement boiler is needed.
At least part of the cost of getting things back up and running should be taken care of. Depending on the plan you choose, there are different repairs and service options available.
With Help-Link, we don’t offer landlord boiler insurance or cover, but we can offer landlords access to one of our care plans to get the right repair and service option for the property.
The different aspects included in your landlord boiler service plan will vary depending on your provider. Some will offer a comprehensive package where you don’t pay anything more than your regular fee; others may charge an excess fee for a callout or repair.

Prices start from £10.99 per month for boilers installed by us, up to a maximum of £18.99 per month.
If you’re a landlord, it’s a legal requirement for your boiler to have a registered gas safety certificate. Without one, a tenant cannot live in the property. Our landlord care plan does all that for you with an additional £35 charge.

As a landlord, you’re responsible for making sure the gas and electrical equipment in your property is installed safely and maintained. While the boiler is only one part of this, having a boiler care plan means it’s one less thing to worry about.
The main benefit is the comfort you’ll have every day in knowing you’re tenant’s boiler is looked after if it breaks and you hopefully won’t have to be hit with an unexpected expense.
An annual boiler service is also included in each of our care plans, making it particularly easy to keep the boiler in your property maintained, reducing the chance of a breakdown.
