Dear Sir

I write to thank you for the prompt attention I received following my request for a new central heating Boiler, the fitting of which was manifold and complex, it having to be re-sited in the loft to comply with the current building regulations (i.e. fixed loft ladder)

Chris smith was the engineer who expertly and with careful attention to all detail carried out this work, he later received assistance from and electrician and another engineer, prior to the instillation being commissioned and tested. He removed the old boiler and al the materials from my home leaving every thing clean and tidy. His manner and the way he conducted himself is beyond reproach, he is indeed not only a credit to your company, but also a priceless

A team of installers attend my property on the 19th of January 2009.

My Husband and myself cannot compliment them enough on their workmanship.

They were all diligent and conscientious workers, they only took one break throughout the whole day and that only lasted for about ½ and hour, they wouldn't even stop to drink a cup of tea.

All of the lads were polite and pleasant and this seems to be a rare commodity to find in this day and age.

We cannot sing their praises loud enough, and we would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

This week before the heating was replaced in my house I had quite a severe stroke and already being disabled I was worried about the work to be done, the minute "my team" walked though the door my worries were dispelled.

My team, Adie, Kelly, Mikey and Nick were fantastic, they got on with the job, they did not waste time and even ate there lunches as they worked.

If I had hand picked the team I could not have picked better. I was delighted with the way they worked and missed them all when they left at lunchtime on the Wednesday.

Your joiner (Colin) came to do the boxing in of the pipes. When he came to my house he was wet through from the consistent rain we've had, I was quite willing to wait for another time but he insisted on doing the work.

His work was excellent and carried out with hardly any cleaning up to do, I must say your staff are the best I have ever encountered. Courteous and clean workers. Which in this day and age a quality rarely seen in workmen. Please pass my compliments to Colin.

As you will see, I have enclosed the feedback questionnaire however I also wanted to write to you directly to advise you of the exceptional service I have received from Help-link.

Now sit back and make yourself comfortable, I'm gong to tell you a story!

My old boiler had been on the brink of collapse for a couple of years but I was holding on until it finally went. Equally some of the radiators in my house didn't work either, so I thought when the boiler went I would replace those at the same time.

Well on the 26th November the inevitable happened and the boiler went… Never good timing, but this date happens to be my birthday. A friend of mine had recommended your company to me as he had had a central heating system fitted a couple of years ago.

I called your office and spoke with Lynne. She was helpful, empathetic, kind and really took the time to understand what I was going through (at this point I had no heat, no hot water and NO running water due to a leak developing). I Advised Lynne I was off work all day as it was my birthday and would really appreciate someone coming out the same day. Lynne thought about it, advised me she would do her best and said she would call me back.

At That point I had already decided to give the job to Help-link based upon this conversation as I really value good service. Boy am I please I made that decision… Read on and I will tell you why!

Within 10 minutes Lynne Had called me back to advise me that Alan Dickinson would be with me BY 1PM THAT VERY SAME DAY. Wow what service. A little while later I received a call from Alan. "Mr Sharp, I'm running a little ahead of time, would it be ok to come around 12?" Would it be ok I thought… YES that would be fantastic.

Alan Duly arrived at 12 and began accessing the system. When he had done the looking around we sat down and I advised him what I wanted. New boiler, new radiators and a towel radiator in my bathroom, this is when I became even more impressed. Alan was completely straight, honest and knowledgeable. Immediately he explained the workings of a central heating system, leading to his advise that I DIDN'T need new radiators, but to try and flush of the system first. I found this wonderfully honest as I was in a venerable position and I am sure that other less scrupulous operators would have been rubbing their hands at a big payday!

I mentioned my concerns to Alan that some radiators hadn't worked in a while but he assured me that if a normal flush didn't work, a power flush would do the trick.

Advice taken I signed up for a new boiler and system flush with some new pipe work off the boiler as the existing fitted pipe work was too small.

When can it be done? I asked as Alan was arranging the payment over the phone. I was hoping for Friday as I was off work again but even with the levels of service I had received to press, I thought I was pushing it.

FRIDAY he said… WOW?

I was left feeling flabbergasted by the prompt, honest informative and reassuring service I had received.

Friday came, and so did Rob Rapson to fit my new boiler. Rob got on with the job straight away with minimal fuss and maximum work rate. I left him and left him my mobile number to call me when he had done. When I asked what time that would be he said about 1pm. Having not received a call from rob by 12.30 I decided to go back and see how he was getting on. Due to what can only be described as a cowboy's fitting of the existing pipe work Rob was having difficulty flushing the system. Rob tried until 4pm to get things working and did manage to sort some of the system out but not to his standards, which are extremely high. There was also some confusion over who's responsibility the pipe work off the boiler was.

We decided then that a power flush was the answer based upon Alan's advise. This was booked for Friday the 5th December. I also spoke with Alan and the pipe work issue was resolved with no fuss at all, that would also be replaced Friday, it was Help-link's responsibility.

Again Rob came on the 5th and the power flush got underway…did it go according to plan? No of course it didn't (if I could get hold of the original plumber who fitted the system… well that's a different story).

Anyway, again Rob tried for 7 hours to get the system working but no avail. Now don't get me wrong, it is infinitely better then it was, 90% of the radiators work and I have all the creature comforts a well-installed boiler brings! I am warm and cosy… But rob was red faced and angry, this man doesn't like to be beaten. My only concern now was that I was paying £325 for a power flush that hadn't worked as intended and I was under the impression with what I had been told that a power flush couldn't fail.

Then I was told it wasn't fool proof and if the gunk and sludge was too thick it might not work.

Should I have been worried… of course not I am dealing with Help-Link here not a fly by night group! I spoke to Kev (I don't know his last name) in your offices and he immediately said he would only charge me 50% of the price of the job. I was absolutely delighted with this unprompted suggestion as I knew Rob had to be paid as he did as much as he possibly could (he must have run about 7 miles round my house that day!) and he did make sum inroads into getting the system working better, it was just that I was not aware the power flush wouldn't be successful.

Kev actually said, "we work on recommendation Mr Sharp and we want our customers to be happy".

All I wanted to be able to do was sit in my own house, have a fully functioning system and be warm! I certainly am warm in my house now thanks to your company and its wonderfully helpful employees.

We are working together to resolve the problem, I only wished I had had a system installed by you in the first place as I know I would have been alright now!

At every turn I have received service above and beyond my expectations. From Lynne initially getting the appointment so quickly. To Alan making his assessment, to Rob working so hard and tirelessly (I must mention the electrician who came as well I don't know his name but he was excellent) to Kev being so accommodating in his resolution to my concerns.

I am so delighted I took my friends recommendation to use you. Although its not perfect, not for want of Rob's Sterling efforts, I know your guys will get it working and I am more than happy to let them continue trying. I have already recommended you to a work colleague and will continue to do so.

Many, many, many thanks to you and all I have dealt with at Help-Link, I have been supremely impressed with this service I have received and thought it only right that I put my thoughts into words.
