Video Transcript

If you’re having problem with your Greenstar gas appliance, there are several checks you can make. We are demonstrating the checks on two different boiler models.

First, check the thermostat.

The timer could be on your boiler or remote controlled, and may be built into your thermostat.

Next, check the boilers pressure system.

Pull down the flap at the front and ensure that the dial arm is at 1.5.

If you’ve just switched the boiler on, it may take a while for the pressure to reach this point, but the dial should be in the green section.

Check that the hob and other appliances in the house are receiving gas.

If they aren’t, you still have a problem. Check if there is a blue light flashing on the front of the boiler. On all Worcester Bosch boilers a blue light will flash if there’s a problem.

If your boiler has a digital window box check if there are letters flashing. The letters will tell you what the problem is. For ease we have provided a list of fault codes in the advice centre section of our website.

If both are flashing, hold down the reset button on the boiler for three seconds.

If the boiler doesn’t re-light itself, seek the help of someone that is Gas Safe Registered.
